Looking real good!:thumb: Nice recovery from the carpet glue fiasco.

Can't wait to see her splashed.

Thanks for taking a look, yeah the seats are nice and if I had to give anything negative is that they're kind of small overall.

I just read through this whole thread. Great work Watermann. My parents had a closed bow Starcraft (I believe 16 ft) in the late 70s, first boat I ever rode in or drove. My dad was a fisherman & sold it to get a bass boat.

Anyway, I've redone/modified my 14 ft Richline to make it a more comfortable fishing vessel. Of course it wasn't near the process your & others here are. I've startled looking at these types of boats recently myself. I'm wanting something bigger than my little jon boat. I like a lot of the features of the new boats, just not the price. Lol. I think I will start looking for a project now.

Welcome aboard Ron and thanks for taking a look at my SS project.

Now that you have your mind set on what you're looking for keep checking CL and you'll find that dream boat.

I wanted the smaller profile seat actually, after all if I want to lounge about in a lazy boy recliner I'll just stay home.

They swivel without hitting anything, are well built seats and the padding is high density foam making them comfortable for me.

I just got mine in the mail yesterday and they do look a tad smaller than normal, but i wouldn't say it will become problematic. The seat mount i bought that seem too small for my pedestal is a whole 'nother issue. but anyways. The seats look perfect for what i need them for, and a great compromise of price/comfort/look/size. Good quality too upon first glance.

Working on some smalls inside today, it's rained in the upper 30's for 9 hours straight. Got the control cables connected to the motor, the controls mounted with a new decal and the US Customs and Border Protection will be happy to know that I have a USCG capacity plate attached!

I love how the control cables connect to this old Merc, super simple and very robust especially the shifter.

Oh yeah and I got the kill switch installed too.

Most of the aft casting deck framing is installed after a long day of cutting, sanding, drilling and hammering solids everywhere possible. 1/8" angle and 1" tubing for supports from frame to deck.. I had to use blind rivets on the tube but that's just to hold them upright without weight / down force force being pu on the blinds. Super strong!

Read casting deck ply mocked up with the livewell and cooler cutouts. 5/8" ply decking and a 1/2" backer for the pedestal mount.
