I posted here not long ago about building a mini speed boat. Well the answers I received was great
and very helpful. I looked at a lot of pictures and I decided I could build a boat just as ugly as some
of the ones I saw, So I decided to start cutting on the old 73 bass boat I had.
I'm not one to waste anything so as much of the old hull will be used as I can.
I started to cut the hull in the place that it would match back up the best, but I decided that I didn't
want one seam in the middle of the boat. So after a few beers I started cutting.

Very cool....at least you have an excuse... A lot of us do crazy stuff like that sober...well, at least sort of... Good luck... I like it when people get creative...within reason.

Well I did it again. The wife got me a 12 pack. After sucking that down I staggered out to my shop.
This is what Found this morning.
Looks like I had to move the steering to the other side to reuse the same steering. Also looks like I
decided to remove the rotted wood from the front deck and raise it up flush. It also looks like I had to
raise the transom by 1.5 inches. ( looks like I will have to drop the splash well to get the motor back
to the correct height.)

I told my wife next time to bring me a case of beer and a sheet of 3/4 plywood.

I think that is the best line I have ever read on this forum, or anywhere for that matter. LOL. How much length did you take out of the hull?

awesome! no way I would be that brave enough to start cutting into a hull like that, or that I would know what to do even if i did. LOL. you'll definitely what get some cool looks at the boat ramp too. what kind of motor are you gonna put on it?

Well she did it. After gulping down the beer I started playing with the power tools again. This is what I ended up with. The center stinger is still a little tall but should sit lower once I grind out the center of the hull. I added two shorter stringers between center and outer ones. As you can see it is going to have the shifter in the center.
