OK guys, this is to follow up on EZ's 2011 thread, what ya got?


Here's my submission, 1/2/2012, really cold, really windy, sideways snow as I was hitching up the Jet, great day for boating

Some of you warm weather guys gotta be getting ready to float eh?

It's 2012. It's ON the water. It's a Lone Star. 2 out of 3. NO BANANA!!! 64 - Go play in the Lone Star forum.

I have to add that the winter has been so rough here in Georgia that I've only been out 6 times since Jan 1. And I found the source of water getting the boat. I have (had) two pin holes back near the transom. On the water pics coming when I get out next time. Maybe this week.

Yah man, it snowed super hard, like white out for about ten minutes right before I dropped her in the water. Then the skies upend up and it was straight up bitter and windy!

My Jet after the winter refit/repower : She does 31 mph with the 40 hp swinging a 10x17" prop and 800 lbs of folks in her

Here is a video of my crazy brothers and I, yes it was dumb....but I really don't care because we don't see each other much. Oh and I forgot to mention that it was so cold that it took us longer to unload/load than the time that we were in the water.HAHAHA...classic

Yeah it works great, its kind of a hand crank one though...would be nice if it was electric!!!

March 18 - earliest I've ever had the "big boat" in. It was a little bit weird this year as we never really had any ice to speak of. In a normal winter we've got at least some ice right through March...

Hey Chine , I dont wanna break any iboats house rules but , being an avid American boat owner that you are , I'd like to pick your brain if you don't mind .i don't know the model and i can't read the entire name plate on my boat but it measures 14' 4" from bow to stern . Its a '73 w/ a 40hp johnny and i can make out a V . also a max. rated 65hp . It does'nt have a windshield which leads me to believe its a Modified. also , it has a sporty bench seat w/ piano hinge . I'd just like to know exactly what i have . Will the serial no. help ? Can i get any more info. anywhere else ? Thanks in advance . The 'mob' is great , always picking up great tips and good storys . btw , hoping to splash her in the Great South Bay of LI NY .

First splash of the season last week. My power t&t was inop but other than that all systems were go. It was a fun outing. We overnighted in an old retired houseboat moored in a cove. It was nice staying on the water!
