poor 12 footer. he has no real grip on reality or he would have refuted my comments about rumsfelds incompetence with some facts, fact is he has none so he spouts.
typical presant day winger,
if you have no fact shout the current spin. so come on 12footer, give some facts do dispute my claim of rummy's incompetence.
Someone tell rodbolt that 12footer is right here, and he can read too. :)

Ja EEze!!! this third-party stuff is fun nee!

You want "facts"? hmm.The Rumsfeld record is a matter of historic fact. Why "refute" YOUR claim, other than to try to find links to past performance? Your claims will be considered by me as bogus, until you proove otherwise. Give me some links pointing-out his so-called "incompetence" before you expect ME even begin to waste my time with such derailments.
I happen to believe he has done an outstanding job! Call me out, rodbolt, with something I can devote attention to... A link or two, outlining your claims of "incompetence". I happen to admire him, and as of this last week ,I actually admire him even more for his candor before the media *****s.
I hope he does not back-down, but continues his counter-attack upon your inbedded media in the press corp. And that goes double for Tony Snow... What a breath of fresh air he is!!
It's about time the admin gave it back to them both barrels!
I actually LOOK-FORWARD to these press conferences now. Let's roll, Rummy!
And rodbolt, ask rodbolt about jannet reno. :)

12 footer,

Do you ever tire of telling us how wonderful you, and your idealogy is?

It might be a bit more credible if you could show us some evidence of same.

It has to be Ronald Reagan. The rest of the nominee's are hardly noteworthy. Some were downright terrible, see Carter. If not for the illegal activities, Nixon was ahead of the curve on many issues. But history will put him either worse than he was or better than he deserves.

12, I thank God every day that Gore didn't make it as well. I did vote for the Bushenagger 1st go around because I was disenchanted with the previous administration. Gore was some scary shyte, I will say that.

Erickems, I am not a lefty, so don't try to lump me in with a certain group based on 2 dimensional processes. There are more ways to think than Left and Right.

Pointer, given all the available information, a person could say Reagan was the best by default. That is purely based on the fact that a bad president is looking good compared to the even worse competition. Not a great way to win, but a win is a win I guess....

As wonderfull as me and my ideolgy are,
"credible" means not needing to. ..And yes, I realise it means something totally different to the left -- so count me out.

Re: The greatest President in our time!

Its cool Eric. I get a bit spicy with these threads. In school, there were the bullies, and the kids they picked on. Then there were the kids who beat the snot out of the bullies. I was one of kids who went after the bullies. What I see on here sometimes are a group of like-minded souls that are generally good folks but for some reason just get vicious when their ideals are questioned. They start to force their mindset, and the more they are resisted, the more vicious they become. It is irrational to me, because they are highly intelligent, and know that they are as likely to change others to their will as they are to be changed to the will of others. I feel no need to point out who or what group, they do a brilliant job all on their own.

Its all good clean fun up until the term "whining" or "weak kneed" or things of such nature occur. If the attributes of a group or ideoligy are to be encouraged, it should be through example, not through force. Thats is why I choose neither side. Some might say being neutral is indecisive, but they are ill informed. To be able to form your own opinion and not blindly follow the hive mind is a liberating, freeing way to live. I have tried the other way, and it doesn't work. I won't have my mindset dictacted to me by Talk Radio or MoveOn.Org....That is why I always vote for the man and not for the party...

BoatDude, I stand corrected. I was so infatuated with my 4th grade teacher at the time, I didn't pay much attention to politic. Anyhow map below should explains the situation we are in today.

Remember when you were allowed to have an opinion, right or wrong, without someone cramming their own ideology down your throat??

Nice thread, although I am afraid I have seen no President since perhaps Truman that I would consider great. He made a huge decision and ended WWII. I am afraid we will never see another "Great" president because now they are under such close scrutiny.

Also, the president's of the latest era seem to represent limited special classes or interest and not the good of the country with sole purpose to represent ALL the people.

Re: The greatest President in our time!

I am glad I do not have to promote and defend any of our leaders in my lifetime. Truman was the last I considered great as he made a huge decision, followed his belief and ended WWII.

Eisenhower was a good head of state because at that time we needed a symbol of our great military power. Got us into VietNam which we all know now was a huge mistake.

Kennedy was assassinated and personally believe that may be what he is remembered for most.

Johnson lead us down the same road that Bush is now. Smarter people put him in place to attain their monetary goals. One of those was B&R.

Nixon was a shame for our country and maybe opened the morals of the President to question. History should skip this guy.

Ford best described by LBJ, too many games at Michigan without a helmet. Perhaps the dumbest president ever.

Carter was perhaps the most intellectual and least politically smart person to serve in the office. Carter was a good person but did not show signs of leadership needed and allowed his administration to be undermined by military leaders.

Reagan brought the Presidency to the big screen. He surrounded himself with people who followed his game plan and they got things done his way. Believe he really was in early Alz. his second term. Greatest, not sure because although he got his plan in action trickle down did not work. His presidency will be remember as a great time to be rich, but he began the destruction of labor and the middle class.

Bush 41, was very much the intellect. Although I opposed his economics (Cont. Reagonics) he was great in world politics and brought the recognition of the strength of our military to its peak. It is a shame his son did not pay attention (an idiot child in my opinion). Given this Bush 41 may be my pick as the Best in my lifetime.

Clinton in my eyes was a powerful leader and able to get things done even with a very strong group of haters. His economic plans got this country back on its feet and began restructure of middle class America. His flaw is obvious and for his lack of morals will be remembered not for what he did for this country but a bj in the library.
Minus Monica he might have been my pick.

W, well all here know what I think of him. He is a failure in home economics, division of the American people, respect for the Constitution, lowered our image in the world, and will leave us in a war that we never should have entered. He is the worst and except he is stupid would be the most evil worst.

My vote is George Bush the First.
