ok for the record the google pics, while very very convenient auto uploading from phone(s) has been inconsistent both in the auto uploads and for visibilityy even following the directions for public sharing.
I've found and tested postimages.org and has been working well, and relatively easy. One thing I loved about PB is i could email a pic for an upload. Never did like their app but the email served me well. This does not have that, nor an app but I'm betting it is coming. They do have a windows add on for screen captures / upload. I only use company laptop so can't install any add ons.
you can upload and link without an account - I did that on my first few test but did go ahead an create one so I guess they can extort me personally in about 10 years like PD did.
FYI I always save to local drive as should you. I know PB will let you download your pics they are blackmailing us for but this way I already have them.
Their upload process is straight forward but have had a few glitches along the way - of course I'm loading a couple thousand pics a few hundred at a time. I bet I'm not the only one and they not have caught up with increased demand on their server side yet. Dunno, but free and overall pelased.

What cannot be uploaded to Postimage.org servers:
- Copyrighted images if you don't own the copyright and are not licensed to do so.
- Violence, "hate speech" (i.e. demeaning race, gender, age, religious or sexual orientation, etc.), or advocacy against any individual, group, or organization.
- Images that are threatening, harassing, defamatory, or that encourage violence or crime.
- Any images that might be illegal in the USA or EU, such as child sexual abuse, or public exposure ("doxxing").
- Adult imagery is not allowed.
If you are not sure whether the image you want to upload is allowed then do not upload that image. Uploaded images are checked by staff and images that violate terms will be removed without prior warning. This may also get you banned from our website. Automatic/programmatic uploads are not allowed. If you need image storage for your app, please use Amazon S3 or Google Cloud Storage. Violators may be hunted down and banned. Please keep the images embedded into third-party websites wrapped in links back to the corresponding HTML pages at our site when possible. The outgoing link should lead the user directly to our web page without any interstitial pages or interruptions. This allows your users to get access to the full-resolution images, and also helps us pay our bills.
