The Israelis just killed the spiritual head, and founding member of Hamas, Sheik Ahmed Yassin. The stuff is going to hit the fan across the board now.

It's all out war now. This guy was pretty much untouchable like Arafat. The Israelis had him in custody years ago but let him go as a favor to Jordan because of some failed assassination attempt by Mussad in Jordan.<br /><br />I saw the President of the EU interviewed on Fox News Sunday. He's an Italian. Anyway, it is clear that the EU is headed for the appeasement route. The message he was sending couldn't be any clearer.<br /><br />He was saying, "we have to address the Root causes" and that is the Israeli-Palestinian issue.<br /><br />When Chris Wallace pointed out that UBL said the strike on 911 was over us being in Saudi Arabia the President said, basically, so what.<br /><br />Then Chris pointed out that going into Iraq was part of addressing root causes and the President said, in so many words, "that doesn't count."<br /><br />I can't wait for the UN oil for food bribery by Saddam comes out and the 200+ EU leaders and journalists who were on the take are exposed.

I hope Bush does'nt come out with a "Isreal needs to practice restraint" statement. We are slowly finding out what countries are going to stand with us. I look at that as a positive. It's important to know who our real allies are. I wish Bush whould give Isreal the green light to do what they need to do to protect themselves. As this war continues to play out, I believe the anti-Isreal terrorists will join with the anti American terrorists. Bottom line is all these terrorist need to be KILLED.

Hamas founder Ahmed Yassin is also their religious<br />leader. killing him just adds fuel to the fire and<br />makes him a martyr... bad idea IMO. now they are<br />really PO'd! plays right into the religious propaganda<br />Hamas uses to recruit suicide bombers and terrorists.<br />(holy war)

Isreal realized a long time ago that their existance is dependant directly on the strength of their military. The communication between the military and the political branches of their government are very good.<br /><br />This was not a hap-hazzard manuver, I am sure that the risks and benefits were weighed before any action was taken. What would we do if there was a UBL living in Canada mapping out attacks on our country?<br /><br />The EU is upset--That hits an all-time low on my who gives a sheet meter.<br /><br />Good job Isreal!!!!!!!! Then the Palestinians go around and kidnap hundreds of Isrealis, and have a "prisoner swap" to get the Sheik released. They just did it a month or so ago, 50 militants for 1 Isreali former army officer (Friend of Sharon's).

The Israeli spokespeople are saying Yassin was as mush of a spiritual leader as UBL. that Mother Teresa was a spiritual leader and Yassin was no Mother Teresa.

I already heard this morning that they are blaming the US. Hamas said that Isreal would be unable to pull the trigger on a target as large as this one without the approval of the US.

I would like to agree but I just do not see that happening.<br /><br />They are going to have an "Internal" investigation. We all know how that goes. Either everything will be denied or they will find some low level scapegoat and sacrifice him.

BF - Very late last night Genral Macanerny (sp) said the UN corruption stuff was about to explode. He is usually accurate and pretty reserved. His friends at the Pentagon must know the White House is about to drop a bomb.

The people paying the bills <br /><br />The real info I want is who in France and Germany and the other nations that blocked us in the UN were on the take? Did they do what they did because they were being bribed and can we prove it? If we do, there will be a sea change in Europe, not to mention, hell to pay.
