Does anyone know anything about this stringer system? Cost? Effectiveness? Etc.?

I'm also curious if the entire system consists of the bedding strip and just one stringer section. Obviously, you lay the two parts end to end with others, lapping them along the way, to get to your required length, but is the system built up any higher than what they show?

If it isn't insanely expensive, this seems like a slam dunk in terms of ease and choice of a way to go.

I was afraid of that. No, I don't want to turn my project boat into the proverbial hole, into which you throw stupid amounts of money. Sure would have nice if it were reasonably priced, though!

I've pretty much developed the same attitude about Seacast - too expensive, and as a secondary concern, way too heavy.

i called them when i was researching my rebuild. you almost need an engineering degree to even talk to them. i didn't get past all of the math and numbers to get to the price but i know it was out of my league.

i never found anyone who has used the product either.

That's really a shame. It just seems to me that companies often cut their noses off to spite their own faces. I can't imagine anything about the product that would justify that cost. I guess its just greed and lack of understanding of just how many sales they lose because of ridiculous pricing. Frankly, it reminds me of Microsoft, who complain so loudly about software piracy. Welllllllllllll ..... ya big dummies ..... if you didn't charge $500 for the office suite, most people would be glad to buy a legal copy!
