Hi. Restored 1940 chris craft 18’ wooden boat with 5200 bottom.

Planning to store it in an INDOOR storage facility with no climate control in Phoenix where temps reach 115+ and humidity is very low.

Is this a problem for the wood and/or 5200 bottom? I don’t want to ruin a good boat.

Thanks in advance!

A carport with a large sun roof is much better for any wood outdoors. What is a 5200 bottom made of ?
That shed will destroy all wood.

My concern is a inner plywood sheeting. Which stretches & shrinks all directions the same amount. Then laying down nice wood planks that shrink and expand in the same direction. Extreme heat or cold ? Fiberglas every time. I would sell it before it is damaged. Buy a all glass boat.

It would not be outdoors it would be in indoor storage but indoor storage temps could likely be at a high of 110 in the middle of summer and a low of 50 in the middle of winter.
