Water runs downhill so any rain getting into the boat from anywhere will probably wind up in the engine room which is probably the lowest point in your hull as it is in most boats

Do you keep your boat covered? How much water is getting into the bilge when it rains?

Hi
Yes its covered with ”cockpit cover” But i think Rain is coming in from bimini cover.

If it rains little here and there maybe after 3-4 days 1 gallon of water

Is that the amount of water left after your bilge pump has run?
bilge pump is not running i have power off when im not at boat. i start bilge when i come to the boat sometimes it can pump out water i guess if its more than 1 gallon. if its 1 gallon and under i have to suck it out with a manual pump

Reposition your pump so it gets more water out, then have it on automatic. With a good battery it can cycle for a long time. On my Islander the pump set at the very lowest point where water accumulated, could pump all but a cup out.

If I were in your position, I'd strongly consider getting a second battery and wiring the bilge pump directly to that additional battery. It would make me very nervous to have a boat slipped without an operational bilge pump.

If you're having issues with the battery discharging....

1. Find the problem and fix it.
2. Install an onboard battery charger and keep it connected to shore power when you're not at the boat.

Having an inoperable bilge pump while slipped is just asking for trouble.

Depending on the intensity of the rain storm, how water tight your cover is, etc, it's entirely possible to get a few gallons of water in.

I had to pull out my FourWinns during a severe storm where I lost sight of the boat and the dock due to the intensity. The birds had happily filled my discharge port with nesting material so the pump wasn't working properly. Several gallons drained due to that event.

IF you're getting water in while its not raining, it's time to start looking for the leak.

Could be any number of things from rotten mount to waterloggeed foam, to a hull breach to???

Is this boat currently in a slip? If so, given that you're having water issues, I'd be pulling it out for inspection/repair.

What year Stingray are we talking about??

Umm not what I was asking.

I see from your other posts that we're discussing a 2014 correct? So roughly 8 yr old boat?

Are you the original owner - I'm wondering if there's a warranty possibility?

Reposition the pump, or get a different pump to get more water out. Mine will take all but a quart out but I do have a slight depression where the water accumulates

hi mate!
yes u see the blue thing in the pic thats the pump. u can see that its mounted on the side and not "flat" far back. dunno why stingray would put it there as it make nosense for me. problem is that is very hard to get ahold of it :(
