Re: steering wont work

So you cant turn the steering wheel? or the pulley on the ps pump wont turn?

If the pully you need a new pump. They do seize. probably a shaft bearing that got water in it somehow and rusted. Not sure if you can just replace bearing or not in those.

Re: steering wont work

sounds like a rusted/corroded steering cable.....Disconnect the cable at the transom assy and see if the wheel turns.

Or like said before are we talking about the pump itself?

Re: steering wont work

About 99% of the time, it caused by corrosion in the aluminum tube in the power steering cylinder where the cable goes through. The corrosion builds up prevents it moving.
