On a related note, I just saw a boat on Craigslist that I sold 7 years ago.
Oh my, did they trash it.
Ripped out the new seats, and bases.
Tore the console to carp.
Windshield - gone.
Destroyed the new floor - somehow, looks like they hauled a car engine in it.
Threw it onto a different, undersized trailer.
Replaced the nice 70 hp rude with a 125 force with no tilt n trim.
And are asking more $$$ for it.

That one's just down the road. I'd noticed the v5-style strakes poking out from under its cover a couple of weeks ago.

holiday with an o/b bracket

Most people probably don't like that raised windshield thing, but I really do! I think I am going to try and figure out how to do that on my holiday build.

I was at a yard sale at an farm in my area (Paris, Ontario), and saw this old Starcraft. It's in very nice shape, and has been stored in the barn there for 20 yrs, owner never came back for it. I just thought I'd throw this up on the forum here, as I thought there might be someone local who is interested. The top is rough, but hull and interior look in very nice original condition. The property has been sold to developers, and the boat (and everything else...) has to go. Asking $2000. Sorry, should have grabbed a pic of the dataplate. It's a big boat, ~20 ft, inboard power. It's too big for me, but maybe there's someone out there who needs another project?IMG_0151.jpegIMG_0144.jpg

keep an eye out for a 16' mariner or something that can be converted.

Outboards only, near TN.

I'm looking to keep to 2500 lbs or less when done with a mid rage sized motor for its class like a 2 cyl smoker johnnyrude.

You should be well under 2500 with a 16 mariner or 80's model MR160.

I've got a MR 180 with a 115, and a 15 kicker, fuel, batteries, and fishing gear, trailer, 2 spare tires, and I'm at 2400#
