i have a 70s 18 ft starcraft cuddy cabin alm boat this is a project boat has 250 in line 6cyl setting in everything needs to be put to geather

Hey Chris, does that hull ever look beat up there is a bad dent in the bow and a nasty wrinkle in the upper port side.

Why are you posting a seller's personal contact info in an open forum? The seller didn't post it openly in the Ebay ad, so neither should you. You could have said you are looking at it.

States it needs transom work and the end caps are gone. Transom top held on with L brackets. $1K and reserve not met.

IMO $1K is what that boat is worth knowing the transom needs to be rebuild and probably the floor.

plus the engine is a xl shaft which is 5" to long.
Curious what is that contrarption holding a light on the stern?why not attach a light on the top of console rail.

yeah your right, I can see that line.. looks like the boat hit and dragged against the trailer pretty hard, that's pretty hard to fix

2.how many hours on motor? Not sure purchased at auction
3.size of fuel tanks? plastic or metal? not sure purchased at auction
4.are you the orginale owner? NO
5.why doe's it have a long shaft engine it should be a 20"shaft? not sure purchased at auction
6.is there a flare gun, life vests, anchor ,fire extinhisher ect. NO
7.are there any cracks or holes in the hull? No
8.did this used to be a police boat? Yes
9.what type of wood was used to redo floor? Treated
10.what needs to be done to the transome? completely rebuild? It does not leak. The transom is reinforced with aluminum plate. We don't know a ton about the boat. We picked it up at a charity auction to turn into a hunting boat but we just don't have the time or money to do it right now.
11.what is that contraption on the stern w/ the light on top? Radar and light bar

Thought this was a Police boat only they abuse stuff like this.
there's two more images added appears the engine braket is cracked what do you Guy's think about that?
will this XL shafted engine need to be raised 5" for the boat to preform as it should?
also doe's this boat have hydrolic steering?

FYI, until someone says they'll go take a look, there was no reason to put someone else's info online. If and when someone agrees to go take a look, you SHOULD handle all that via PMs and your email addresses, not in the open forum INCLUDING the business info of the seller. Anyone considering going to look for you could find the city/state in the ad, but if it were me asking for help, I'd have put the city/state in my post asking for a go and see.

The seller thought you were an interested party, so he sent it to YOU. He didnt change his ebay ad and add the info.

Yikes is right.... 90hp maybe, another 50, nope.... how big is that forward fuel tank? Looks big enough to bring the bow down if its full. Otherwise that 140 would probably be enough to stand it on the transom when you drop the throttle.....

Pretty cool how they went all-aluminum! I'd have to cover that hideous wood grain on dash though!
