Some kind of funky thru-hull exhaust, I think. Never saw a set-up like that before. Or it's a fancy drain plug holder, it holds at least one.

You found two good ones, BF. The Lonestar is just too cool. Not quite an Islander, but very nice looking in it's own way. Wonder what the insides look like?

Re: Starcraft on C-list/ebay!

1967 Starcraft Islander

Or his other boat, w/ the same basic ad copy:
22ft $800 1986 Sylvan:
1986 Sylvan Offshore (New Price)

Hmm, desperate may be accurate, it's a Tacoma, WA cell#, boats are in central Ohio near Columbus, and there's ads for the garage sale he said he was having all weekend, w/ the same cell #. I got an email from Jason, seems a nice enough guy. Tires are shot under the Islander, but axles & hubs are fine. Is it odd to have 4lug 4.8X12 tires on a tandem axle trailer? Seem on the small side.

Anyway, his email reply:
I added detailed pictures of the tires, wheels, and interior to the original posting. The trailer does have a tongue braking system that worked the last time I towed it. It makes the boat/trailer combo feel very light compared to my other boat. Having the title signed over in front of a notary is all I meant by the title transfer.

Looks like someone is moving cross country. $200 Islander maybe? Sylvan was $1200/1500 this am when I 1st saw it, so it dropped 30% sometime today.

He may be moving from Ohio out to western WA. He would be money ahead to drag those out here and sell them for 3k each.

Re: Starcraft on C-list/ebay!

Now that's an unusual boat, and at $800 for boat motor and trailer, it would be a great restoration project. GA - what gives - were they actually going to call it an Islet?

PC - You missed the  Islet is a small Islander, hence the made up name and prototype stuff.

She looks like some grafting was done from another boat. I don't know if it would be a resto or more like finishing the job. Appears to be good work, though. You won't see another one on the lake, that's for sure.
