16' SFM for $1300

1990 Aluminum 16 ft Starcraft Sport Fisherman, with 40 hp mercury, new seats, new floors? Haven't started motor in a year, ran but didn't like to idle. Power trim doesn't work. Redid the floors but used the wrong plywood, starting to laminate, lost interest. With a trail $1300. OBO reply and leave your #

Any plywood that laminates itself when neglected sounds like the right plywood to me :D

I think he is actually hoping to get a smaller motor and make a ton of jack to boot. I sent him here to show him what exactly a well documented motor is.

She's got potential!

Ya this might work, but is it a 24' or 26'? Did they make 'em 25'? Got to call on that one. Looks like a decent trailer for the 780 mile trip. I plan on "customizing" by removing the cabin and keeping only a side console.

Boy that Islander would be nice. Since I'm going to NY in a week or so anyway I'll go prepared! Sent an email, need to see if trailer is ok or if I'll need to bring along spares or anything else.

Re: Starcraft on C-list/ebay!

They started welded Crestliners in '64. I think by '73 all of them were welded. Not a bad looking boat. Except the Oriental carpet, including the fringe.

Re: Starcraft on C-list/ebay!

I need a big, open boat for duck hunting. I need a big boat with a cabin for fishing and tubing and kids/grandkids. Maybe a removeable cabin of some kind? If they did it for blazer trucks we can figure it out for boats right? :)

Re: Starcraft on C-list/ebay!

In high school I had a big Ford Bronco with the removable top, it was awesome!

Dood, you can't cut the top of a 26 footer, it's Starcraft law. 22 footers are fair game though:thumb:
