That's actually a nice boat...i don't think 3200 nice but looks to be well cared for. Full enclosure is big $$ as well.

no side-rub rail so either this is a '76 or they stopped adding them during '75.

Since we don't have a '75 brochure, I was checking the iboats data, which doesn't show a 17' Super Sport (or just Sport). I contacted the seller asking for clarification on size and year. He only replied that he never said it was a "Sport". Love surly sellers.

By the way, Starcraft sure had some weird ads back in the day. Wedding? Bride/Groom? Chef with a giant wedding cake? In a boat??????

We get so enamored by the awesome Tin...that we miss the nutty Baby Boomers decorating them :hippie:

Now, just to be clear, I certainly am not complaining about the cake. :nono: I like my cake in a boat or anywhere else for that matter:madgrin:

They are demonstrating the ultra smooth luxurious ride.:D

Like cutting a diamond in the back of a Cordoba. Think that's the right vehicle.

Of Course I would love the one that's $39,900 more expensive than both of my cars, motorcycles, and boats all put together

I've been seeing expensive metal lately, so, not for the everyman, but fin to look at:

2008 Lund 2025 Pro V SE w/ EXTRAS

alumacraft 1860 allweld w/90 e-tec

lund pro v

Boat Lund Pro V

Of Course I would love the one that's $39,900 more expensive than both of my cars, motorcycles, and boats all put together

Good LORDIE LORDIE... I'm with SIG, I'll be lucky if I could toss on a new 75HP ETEC on the back of the 73 SuperSport... I just don't understand how people afford those boats... We are talking more than my truck/car that I use every day to get me back and forth to work. Good if you got the money though... without a doubt!

Problem is in a couple of years they will all be worth half that price.

Jas, that's what the upper limit search feature is for. I know they are way out of my budget so I don't even look.

My ins. agent tells me - You buy a boat like that, get a 30 year loan, trade it in after 8-10 years and do it all over again. Sounds insane to me.

Re: Starcraft on C-list/ebay!

I understand newer used boats having high prices cuz they cost so much from the dealer. What I can't figure is a 4 year old boat (Jason's Alumacraft ^^^^^) with all of 76 hours, 20 hours a year after dropping in excess of 20 grand! I would put that her in the first month.

And yeah, Sig - Some people are out of their mind!

^^that's a nice boat with a good engine, but a CC up here really limits the length of your season for a fishing boat...something I've come to realize only recently having run both open and cabin boats. And asking more than I can pay for a daily driver car.

Re: Starcraft on C-list/ebay!

If you look at the 2nd pix in the ad, there's a huge space between the bow stop & winch, and plenty of tongue forward of the winch post to move the boat forward enough to fit on the trailer.

I bet its deliberately pushed back on the trailer, ease of solo launch maybe?
