Just so we're clear, he's not representative of the rest of us around here!

(that's about 10 miles from me)

if it had been a "mere" 22', no big deal......but cutting up a 26'....????!!!! wonder if he already sold the cabin for scrap?

Ok. Now there's 2 of ya :watermelon: Club meetings must be a load of fun..

As B2 noted, seems to be quite a few more 22ft'rs then 26ft'rs.

Ugh, it's the SC equivalent of cutting up a complete 1950's Feathercraft to make it into a hardcore fishing rig. Something that could have been done to any number of plain vanilla semi-V 12-16ft 'jon' boats.:blue:

What could he have done w/ a decapped 26ft that he couldn't w/ the cap on? I just don't get it... Esp since asking isn't any higher (should be lower, IMHO) and is now going to be driven lower AFTER he put more time ($ too?) into it...

Nope, don't get it.....

AND, for a northern boat, greatly reduced its feasible fishing season. that sort of conversion would make more sense if it were down where it's hot, like that one in FL

Too bad that thing is not closer to Oregon and sitting on a good trailer and about 50% the asking price. I would build a custom cabin and make that thing an ocean runner again. I am looking for a 25 or 26 footer. Toying with the idea of building my own boat (wood, epoxy, fiberglass) Guy in my town cuts Great Alaskan toleman kits.

Likely a glasser, almost all Starcraft tinnies were even number in length, except for the 15 and 21'ers.
And the glassers were odd number lengths.

Or the guy can't use a tape measure. ??

I would pay the $800 to get the spare motor to replace the current motor with the cracked block. No, on second thought I would dicker for the seats and motor because of the work to change out the motor and to replace all the wood.

Here you go, 18' in great shape, only overpriced a little bit.

Classic Boat

I love the steering wheel for the kicker motor.

If he keeps the extra steering wheel, do you think he might knock off a zero? Over priced a minimum of 200%. WOW!
