Really cool...kind of an aluminum Luhrs flybridge design. I can't really imagine the fuel cost for 16 gas cylinders, though. Way outta my league there.

If you can afford to own and maintain a big girl like here, you can afford the fuel. According to specs I saw the tankage is 150 gallons. Let's see at $3.50 /gallon that's $525. Mmm, maybe that's why so many end up moored at a marina as a second home.

You can't. Not a closed bow. Maybe as a boat to be flipped. That is an electric shift Evinrude.

Yah, Evinrude sold for parts, cut the bow out, rebuild, game on. (easy to say huh)

Do I need another boat? Nope.

Yes it is and Yes it is. Look at the shifter (plus you don't want to mess with my knowledge of Evinrude years/paint schemes :p). That's likely a '70-'72 motor.

look at the shifter!!!!!!!!what kind of software do you have in your computer, that you can blow the picture up enough to see any detail on the shifter!!!!!!! what, do you work for the FBI or something!!!:joyous:
the motor does look like its from the 70s, but I would have guessed ...late 70's. the LU looks normal to me.......bob

Electric shift lowers don't look any different. I already suspected it being an early 70's motor based on the paint scheme and although not much detail, a look at the shifter I can tell from the handle it's probably this:

not this:

Okay, just checking, electric shift is undesirable, correct?

It's not terrible. It's a fine system and works well. However, the solenoids in the lower unit as well as the pushbuttons in the shifter are NLA parts so if you do have issues, you're stuck with ebay. You wouldn't want to pay as much for one as you would for a '73 or newer (or even better '79 or newer) motor. If a boat came with one, I'd run it. It's not as bad as say a Chrysler which you can't even get friggin' props for.

I'm sure there are things you like for odd reasons. I just love the look of those big friggin' bastards.

Okay, thanks for the info.
