Re: Starcraft on C-list/ebay!

I just called on the Long Island one 64, its $1500 for the hull only the 2001 trailer is an extra $400. Transoms rotten, he had no idea about the details k. Very difficult to understand as well.. I am thinking that the hull probably isn't worth the $1500 + $500 in diesel.. what do y'all think?

Nope. Maybe $1500 with the trailer. On second thought, max $1k with trailer. I think you will be throwing all new wood into her and fixing leaks. Being on L.I bet it's been used a lot in salt. Wait a couple of weeks and hit him with a lower offer, I'm sure it's still gonna be there. Does he have papers? Not surprised that he was hard to understand after trying to read his ad.

Might be worth a peak if someone is in the SS market.

The Spectrum Blue Fins (as opposed to just Blue Fins) are really really bad boats. You don't want one. If there was ever a "Bayliner" of tin boats, it was them. Pass.

You, outta the pool with your glass boat! :p

Kind of like Chief's Mirrocraft. Thanks for the heads up. Did not realize the difference in the two Blue Fins.

Put that on the BIG RED X List

Possibly a Sandy left over. Didn't catch the not trailer in the ad the first look. Pass is a good option. If it were $500 it might be an option if the salt has not rotted the transom.

i dont know about that, they did all the work...ripped everything out sealed the floor and made sure no leaks installed all new transom wood and floors... and they give you a trailer...for $1500.

there is no way you could buy a utility boat like that these days for that kind of money...

i wonder what they put under the floor? any foam? and how thick the wood is...

a new steering cable is $130 alone!!!

Re: Starcraft on C-list/ebay!

That Holiday for $1499 sounds good. But I question the workmanship. They say the hull has 2 coats of oil based enamel to ensure no leaks. I never heard of outside hull paint being a leak stopper. And there isn't new paint along the keel/ lower hull - where the leaks are. Floors and transom are replaced with a lifetime warranty product - What is that? No mention of flotation and not sure the wood is sealed. Can you replace floors without pulling the side panels? Maybe SCs changed in later years but my side panels sit on top of the floors. They serviced the steering - oiled maybe?

Am I too picky? It's possible.

14' with a 60's 10 hp Johnson that hadn't run in two years. Trailer had been totally renovated. He was asking $250.

Sold for $200 w/o the motor to #2 on the list. Rats :mad-new:

If it makes you feel any better, that's a really shallow hull. You'd have hated it and been looking for a deeper one quickly. Course it's still a steal of a price.

^^^ I was going to put a running 5.5 or 10 hp on it and try and flip it for $6-800. Then fix and sell that 10hp.

Might have traded trailers for the one under my Lone Star. I think that is an old Tee Nee trailer Nice nostalgic look.
