Was watching the weather from the center of the universe (Toronto, just ask them)and the guy said we,ve turned the corner and better weather is upon us .Im at the very end of lake superior just before it goes into huron and its in the 60,s now .Suppose it will be up and down for the next little while but it can only get better.

You're up in the Soo, aren't you? Is the ice off the lakes up there yet or do they still have a few weeks?

T-shirt, shorts and cranking up the grill for the first time this season.....:whoo:

I'm like the Postman when it comes to grilling. I stand real close to it during those really cold nights. Watch it from afar in the summer heat.

Probably average 3 to 4 nights a week.

NO ice on the big lake(superior)lots of the small lakes still have ice but its going fast.A friend of mine stopped by today and he tried to go to camp 25 miles from town and in the bush there was still lots of snow. His Honda 4 wheeler wouldn't go through it so he had to hoof it a couple of miles. The snow is like sugar so it will go fast also.

Good to hear... We have a cabin on Patten Lake, north of Leeburn. Hoping to get up there before long....

Thanks!

Unless theres a drastic turn in weather another few weeks will do it .We really had a mild winter compared to last year, but then again ive been in a white out on the montreal river in the middle of may with 3 inches of snow one day and 25 degrees and the next day it was 85,go figure!

Hard to beat GA and SC weather isn't it? Most of the year it is great! If you like the heat--May June July August.. If you like mild temps--March, April, September, October, November. If you like the cold--December, January, February

Superior didn't get much ice this year which makes it quick to melt in spring. Which is a good thing!

I hear ya!

We dropped back in the 40s for a while. Supposed to be warmer today. Maybe 60s. All of our lakes have been open for about a week. It's "trying" to green up. Buds on the trees aren't doing much yet. Some are swollen. No leaves yet..... In 2 months the days start getting shorter.........:facepalm:

The company that cuts our condo associations grass was out yesterday for the first cut of the season. Spring is officially here once you have your first grass cutting of the year.
