I will read up on my settings my carbs.

I was lied too! I was told those testers were worthless.
No matter what, I am going to use an ir thermometer.
If some of the cylinders are not firing, that would be an obvious reason the rpms are low.

your manual will tell you specifically the minimum gap the spark must jump. for example, some motors must jump 7/16" or 1/2"
