I've been fighting computer problems for a week and more, so that's been taking up much of my time.

But, we did get the eastern wall of the garage cleared and it's ready for running the AC wiring. My buddy has been notified and will start work at his convenience.

The boy seems to prefer working by himself when doing this sort of thing. He says that he likes listening to his music more than to mine. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Maneuvering room for the electrical work.

And once again, we used the 3 pile method. We took the trash to the dump shortly after taking this picture.

That little white fridge next to the black tool chest went to the dump too. It was continually moaning and groaning and couldn't deal with the heat around here.

And in the process of doing all this, we discovered that one of the Bose 301s had come apart. Nothing broken, just old. Like me! :ROFLMAO: I bought some construction adhesive and will repair.

Hi all, we're back and doing fine! 😁

Eta turned out to be a fizzle. We over-prepared but I don't mind. Better safe than sorry. I went through Charlie back in 2004 and that was bad. Then came Frances and Jean. Ugh!

The night before the storm, the boy and I had managed to get the garage cleared out better and cleaned up a bit.

Then my neighbor buddy just happened to show up, bringing some duct board and a thermostat for the installation.

We talked awhile and came up with a long list of items that I need to acquire to get things truly rolling. I'll be researching best purchase options and start ordering and whatnot over the next couple of days.

I thought that I was going to get started yesterday, then Eta changed course and began heading our way. Time to adjust priorities! 😫

So we did what we had to and managed to get both boats and my car inside the garage! 😁

Got my truck under the tarp shelter too.
IMG_20201111_123253614_HDR.jpg

But my wife's truck had to sit outside and get wet! :ROFLMAO:

Best wishes and I hope you fair well!

I'm glad to see the KF going, how's the Chief?
Hey! Long time no see! The KF is "sorta" going. I've been dealing with a couple motor related problems of my own doing.

I'm pretty sure that they're straightened out now, but haven't had a chance to do a water test for various reasons. I guess I need to bring that thread up to date.

So many things being juggled here right now. Phones, laptop, garage, my truck, KF, etc. 😡

As for the Chief, it's still around. I'd hoped to get started on it and make progress this year, but that's looking pretty dubious. It looks pretty sad right now, from sitting outside all by its lonesome self. But, it'll get better soon enough. I was really surprised that my little Sportage was able to pull it around with aplomb.

The Chief spent the night in the garage with the KF. It really needs to be pressure washed! But, that'll have to wait. Too many other competing things going on right now.

We're all good! The storm was nothing more than a breezy, rainy day by the time it rolled around here. Thanks for the kind thoughts! :)

Here's the garage this morning. Getting there...

And I did get that left channel Bose 301 speaker repaired. I only have 2 large clamps, so a ratchet strap was called into duty.

So our tunes are now back to normal! I'm considering getting a subwoofer too! πŸ€”πŸ€£πŸŽ΅πŸ₯

We picked up the remaining supplies a couple days ago.

We now have everything needed to complete the AC installation and we're just waiting for my neighbor bud to be available.

The boy and I were in the garage this afternoon, working on the Kingfisher, when my neighbor buddy showed up unannounced! Ho yeah! (y)

He wanted to get to work on the AC project and dug right in... with the help of the boy while I uh, supervised. Yeah, that's the ticket! 😁

And much progress was made! He spent 4+ hours with us and we had a good time. Even had dinner together. (Maintaining social distance, natch!)

Installation and cleanup being done at the same time.

Compressor hookups started.

Wiring is the first step. Next will be refrigeration, followed by duct work.

Yah, he's a great guy. So is his brother. They both have wonderful kids, beautiful wives. Helpful, friendly. And so on...

Good folks all around. (y)

I'm very lucky to have such good neighbors! :giggle:

When the boy was done with school yesterday afternoon, we went out to do cleanup and rearrange the garage since the basic wiring installation had been completed the day before.

We spent just over two hours cleaning and arranging, then went into the house to rest and have dinner.

I have these two small parts boxes leftover from my RC airplane days and will be repurposing them to hold boat and other related stuff now.

All clean once more!

I'd just sat down and turned on the news when my buddy came rolling down the driveway again! I got up and went outside and he greeted me with a big smile, saying "It's Friday night, time to get to work!" LMAO! 🀣

So back outside we went. My wife fixed us some small pizzas and we worked, ate and yakked. 😁

And then this happened!
😎

Next step will be to install the duct work. Things are getting cooler! :giggle:❄️

Well, it was an interesting day today for sure. My wife found a big jewelry box that she wanted from Craigslist. We went down to pick it up and on the way home we spotted a roadside flea market kind of thing. So we stopped to check it out.

I noticed a bunch of loudspeakers and sent the boy over to see if there was a subwoofer. Sure enough, there was! So for $20 we got that puppy loaded into my car and brought it home to use in the garage. 😁

Surprisingly, it actually works! But it's going to need a little work. That's okay. It'll play the TXH sound just fine with proper settings. And it can handle all my music too.
