It's a big deal, looks kinda fun to me.......... Shuffleboard on ice, per say. Maybe I'm getting old......

I'd rather watch curling than figure skating........:bolt:

It's a toss up as far as sports I don't want to watch, figure skating for Winter Games and synchronized swimming for Summer Games. Curling reminds me of bocce, a fun sport if there ever was one. Beer is required nourishment for bocce! :D Unfortunately not an Olympic sport. :blue:

When you are as fit, skilled, and coordinated as any curler on the Olympic ice, get back to us. :)

what would make you think im not as fit, skilled or coordinated as any curler on the ice?? i'll have you to know that i have washboard abs ...(so what if they are hidden behind the dryer right now), and i once came in 3rd at a high school track meet.....(so what if there were only three of us competing in the event)! lol

No offense intended.
There was a time when lots of curlers made the average Pro dart player look like an Olympian.
Not so much any more.

Up in Big Bear we do. Going tomorrow! Of course it might be close to 70? so there may be some water skiing going on instead of snow skiing.

This is 2 hours away from where I live(Los Angeles) at my GF's cabin. This was 2 weeks ago.snapshot_00626E4380EA_20140131081045.jpg

Quick hockey updates for those interested....
Well, no surprises in the 1st round...everyone who was supposed to win pretty much won....(ie: Russia, Canada, U.S, etc)...
So now we are all about to enter the tougher rounds. Tomorrow the U.S meets Russia...and that will be a very good game! (I have to check to see what time that game is on...but it will be before noon for sure).
We (Canada) just finished up against the Austrians...6-0, so a bit of an easy one there....but we meet the Fins on the weekend which will be a tough game.
Never underestimate any team in these tournaments....these 1 game decisions are very tricky.
I'm not sure if the early high score 'blowouts' are a good thing for the winning team or not. Its not always great to get over confident too soon....regardless, there is some really great hockey ahead!!:)

USA beat the Russsians on a shootout goal by T.J. Oshie. Interesting fact, Oshie is from Warroad, MN and Warroad, a town of fewer than 2,000 people six miles south of the Canadian border and no U.S. men's team has ever won a gold medal without having a Warroad player on its roster.

Go USA!!

Warroad, not too far from where I grew up....... Or, at least was raised. Wife is still waiting for the grow up part....... I think she still has a long wait....Lol

Didn't see the game, been plowing for a couple days. USA beating Russia sure doesn't have the feel of 1980 by any means when kids beat a pro team. That's right, Russia didn't have a pro team.
