Shift Cable Question

I'm going to be changing my bellows this weekend and while I have to pull out the shift cable to put a new shift cable bellows on what should I be looking for on the shift cable to see if it needs to be replaced. Thanks

You would want to look at your old one for any signs of binding or wear.... but if there is any doubt at all, I would suggest replacing it. If you do, most suggest you go with the OEM cable as it is a better quality than the aftermarket.
