About to torch off my 110 evinrude 89 and when I had a link and sync done years ago on a 150 yamaha I had the Mech. just disconnected the advance arm and manualy moved the advance to full advance with the motor running at idle. He was checking max advance with a timing light with the motor just on muff's. What is wrong with this way of checking full advance if you don't have a test wheel and are to old to hang off the back of the boat???? THANKS for all replies
