Rub rail clean up

Does anyone know of a good product that will clean up the marks on the hull/deck joint rub rail? I'd like to get the pristine white back.

Is it rubber or vinyl? If vinyl, you could try some mineral spirits, Goof-Off or some cleaner wax. Try in small spot first. For rubber, try a pink pencil eraser or Mr.Clean cleaning pad.
