Hey guys, I have a 1984 KingFisher 15ft 6in fiberglass boat that has a 6ft rod locker fiberglassed in on the opposite side as the console. If I cut it out will there be any rigidity issues you think?

except for the console there isn't anything on that side. Used to have a 2ftx2ft livewell but I cut it out- it was just forward of the console you see in the first picture. Since there isn't any structure on the opposite side does that mean its ok to cut out?
