Had carb apart .adjusted float and so on. The accelator pump doesn't shoot gas everytime I pump it. Also has bog. It's a new cup and spring on it. The check ball is in the well...at a loss here

There is a ball down stream of the pump that can get left out if you take the venturi cluster out. Would suspect either this ball the check ball in the pump well ( they are two different sizes so can get mixed up) or the spring are not in the right orientation.

is a video on it. You can test yours the same with airhorn off

I'm done with this carb
I feel your pain as have been there and done that, not trying to be a jerk but it seems when you have taken it apart it hasn't gone back together right. Same could happen with the holley ... or if it does not work perfect out of the box. A 2 jet is about as simple as they come ...

jetted for the Ford 302 but $$$+
5 years ago these carbs were like $550-$600
then you'd have to buy a 4bbl manifold as well but that would really wake up that 302.

Definitely looks good. Have to see under load. looked like in second video there is a little slop in the linkage to accelerator pump. Just make sure that there is no delay in actuating the pump arm. If there is some slop just straighten the rod so the pump spring is under a little tension. Had this causing A bog on both my gtos 2 jet and the boats edlebrock.

what did you do to get the improvement

I played with the pump rod and watched down the hole...it's getting steady streams everytime...I opened the choke a bit to. Test run tomorrow possibly.

It looks like the correct one. Depending on the temperatures where you are you could loosen the choke some. Does it also have the brass inlet fitting for the fuel line?

350 CFM or 500?

post the air horn numbers if you dont know.

regarding the fitting. your local NAPA or Princess Auto will have holley fuel fittings.

300 cfm version:

500 cfm version:
not sure why the 300 cfm has the nipple on the air horn and the 500 doesn't

I would ask for the numbers on the air horn and look them up on the chart that Holley has on their website, I think you can find out if it is a marine carb that way.

Lou, there are a few variations of each
