Sorting thru the coffee cans for all the nuts and bolts to rig the cable steering, have to fit the seat backs before I run the cables.

Spent some time washing the boat down, ready to go in for some work. Have to admit it is going to be hard to let it go, might have to keep it for a summer or two.

Son was over to pick up his dog yesterday and he helped me get the motor off the boat and get the boat off the trailer and on dollys. Fits in the garage better and I can install the steering and seats without climbing up a ladder to get in the boat.

I put the seat cushions and seat backs in to figure out cable paths for steering and mounting the controls.

I started by putting in just the front pulleys from the drum last night, not much done but I did a little more fine cleaning. I have the day to myself to do what ever I want and figured I would work a little more on the boat. I went out and looked at the boat and it dawned on me, I could finish the restoration drive it a few times and sell it end of restoring boats.

14' bullet proof aluminum run about low cost, what was I thinking, this is a perfect boat to hand down to my grandson's I can put a 35 hp 4 stroke on the back and the boys will have their own boat to learn on and enjoy.

Upon further review and looking at HP restrictions for young boat operators in Minnesota I will not be putting a modern 4 stroke on the back. I will put the old mercury on the back, no CO officer will know what HP that old smoker is.

Dropped a corner pulley for the cable and chipped the dang thing, lucky I have a spare. It's the little things, if I was selling it a chip on a pulley no big deal probably not noticed. Once you build it for the grandson's standards change.

I saved some holes to drill and a seat panel to install for today the grandsons are coming over. Saved some for them to help grandpa with.

USCG Man Overboard Switch required on older boats without one ? As of April 1 2021. That switch is required on all federal waters. Check your STATES requirements. Might be the same by now.
Electronic key FOB types are also acceptable . Lot less wiring involved.
