I would have to disagree. I think the two units being presented helped ajp to better understand cables and the differences between them. I presented an open remote unit for comparison. If you look back at the thread, it actually helped to get the thread moving and helped ajp get his answers.

I think the hardest part of this thread was we were dealing with 2 different control boxes that use 2 different cables. Hope we were able to sort it all out! And good luck.

Not really, as long as the casing remains undamaged and you service the ends periodically, the new cables should last many many years!

Good luck with the launch on Monday...with any luck I won't be too far behind ya. With you and bonz help should be good...I'll definitely keep you guys posted on tomorrows progress. Anything you can do to prolong life of the new cables after installation?

Sorry but I think you only confused the issue at hand. the 2 units in question are no way simular and in no way use the same cable assembly and do not even go together the same way. As you look back on this thread you will notice I askes more than once which control unit he was using, Even offered to send pictures and all I got was attitude and contradictions.

So at this point I an through with this thread and you may continue to help as much as you can.

Why so much attitude? We're all here to learn and understand more and try to share information.

Those 2 units aren't even close to one another and just added confusion to the discussion at hand. This whole thread became convoluted by showing 2 different units with different parts and the way they are assembled. Not even close to the same thing.

I could have taken a 2 lever control and added that to the mix and what would that have accomplished?

There are only 2 cables used in these units and I listed part numbers for both and the one he needed.
