Forgot to add, saw a guy on a YouTube video fill up a fast boat in Florida with a 450 gallon tank the was empty when he started. This was at a marina and it was around $2400.

Sounds like he doesn't have to ask what it costs. Probably has "people" to take care of little things like a $2400 fuel bill for his boat. lol

Some of these multi 450 HP engine 45 - 50 ' boats are in the $ 2,000,000 bracket.----If you can manage one , then fuel is of no concern.-----I think many of them playing at the Haulover Inlet are chartering.----Rental fees are adjusted by the hour.

It's all a matter of perspective.

Many container ships that call on the U.S. now are considered post-Panamax or New Panamax, named so because they are larger and can go through the newer, larger locks on the Panama Canal. Ships in that size range can carry between 2.5 million and 3.5 million gallons of fuel.

The amount of fuel actually be used on a sailing depends primarily on the ship’s speed. Most ship engines have been designed for top speeds ranging between 20 and 25 knots per hour. A Panamax container ship can consume 63,000 gallons of marine fuel per day at that speed. Bunker prices now are about $3 per gallon. Wouldn't take long to max my credit card on a fill up

A little over a year ago I sold my 20' bassboat with a 200hp motor and got a 14' tinny with 30 hp. I used about 7 gallons last year. I let my wife know I can buy 2 gallons of fuel for what she pays for one pack of her cigarettes . She has not complained since about my fishing.

I pulled into a gas station/rest stop on the highway today . . . which those tend to be the pricier places to buy gasoline. $4.90/Gallon for 93 Premium.

So, I decided to lighten up on the gas pedal and use a bit of 'hyper-miling' techniques. I got about 20% better gas mileage on the rest of the way home.

Sort of like paying $1.00 less per gallon. Not sure I can do that with the boat though.

Saw a guy in Russia with a video on what their gas costs presently with the sanctions that were put in place. $1.80 US per gallon for 93 octane and $2.00 for 95 octane. However, take that with a grain of salt since it could be propaganda. Unreal if true, ha ha. Not sure what the average salary is there though.

I travel the world for a living…. a lot of the gas prices listed are actually lower than the last time I visited.

Then noticed….”all prices updated in March 2005”. 17 yro gas prices

Propaganda….they sell fuel by the Liter and in Russian Rubles…not to mention most vehicles are diesel.

$4.39 this morning for 87 octane. Diesel here is $4.99, just passed the sign this morning. Went up $0.20 from Sat to Sun.

At that rate, I expect $6/gallon for 87 and $6.50 on the water for ethanol free unless things change quickly.

Saw an article about price of wheat / availability in northern Africa.-----Millions of people there get subsidized / government supplied wheat / BARLEY ( beer ) from the Ukraine and the Russian bread baskets.----If men are working with guns / tanks instead of harvesting / sowing how are these products going to Africa to feed the hungry.-----And on another note there are governments that have subsidized alcohol products for years.----Subsidized gasoline for years.------If your government offered you gasoline at $0.40 / gallon and beer at 20 cents a can you would never vote them out !!-----Perhaps it will be a huge " windfall " for our North American farmers next year.

Right now we all need to lighten up throttling the lever too much forward as used to to reduce highly priced fuel consumptions. That's why it's imperative to have your motor maxxed propped to run towards its max wot rpm range as usually loaded, if fixed loaded much better. Full throttle to plane faster, once there reduce the throttle to min to maintain the combo on plane while having fun sipping cold ones contemplating the water scenery.

How many of you guys will stand to make at least a one day file to buy just 5 gallons of fuel at 0.40 cents each as in Venezuela ?​
