I still say, drive it like you rented it

fastest car in the world
Funny story (to me anyway). About 10 years ago made a trip to Munich, visited BMW museum (which brainwashed me enough that I bought one soon after). While I was there, rented a car to tour the countryside. Trying to decide what to get, settled on an Audi A4, which seemed appropriate. Got to the car rental counter and it was gone. Only two options were a Ford fiesta and a Renault clio. Counter person assured me that both were very nice cars. I told her that she was missing the point. Ended up with the renault, and had my foot to the floor for a full 10 minutes. Ended up getting it to 120 mph going downhill. Porches, mercedes, BMWs flying by me like I was standing still.

Haven't had a donut in a long time. Just stopped in a donut shop while driving thru PA and they were $2.49 each.

When I was in grammar school they would let us out at lunch time if the weather was nice. I often walked across the street to the bakery. They were a nickle then.

I love it. My weather lets me heat almost completely with about 1.5 cords/year, all of which I split by hand. Great winter exercise. I imagine this would appeal to a lot of people on here. You can geek out on wood just like boats šŸ˜‚

Same here.

Unfortunately natural gas isn't an option. Only propane....$$$
Would go to heat pump with propane or geothermal backup like my neighbor if I was going to stay in the house more than 5 years and didn't have to tear out and replace the existing duct work.

Have no interest whatsoever of burning wood...lol.

Bought a 30 acre Nursery (tree farm) 10 years ago. Spent every free minute for the first 3-4 years cutting and burning close to a 1,000, if not more, 4-10" caliper trees, by hand.

Anymore, bad enough keeping wood on hand for the fireplaces... and I have equipment....tractor, chain saw and log splitter.....lol

I don't have access to any vast tracts of wood so this fake fireplace (electric space heater with a "light show") I have here will have to do for the "wild nights" of the horizontal hula (but its much more comfortable upstairs in the Master Suite) no natural gas lines in my neighborhood and I'm not gonna "rent" a propane tank that would need filling a couple of times a year in the winter. SO, I'll just stay with my all 'lectric house, the bills aren't that bad, a little higher when it gets cold. Our smoker gets used regularly as well as the grill on the back porch

Our tank rent is $1/yr. But we're spending over $1k of propane/yr. Could get real ugly this winter...
