re carpet

I'm looking for some help on installing the carpet. I bought the carpet glue from lowes, indoor/outdoor marine okay , TEC PRODUCT.... its water based product. Anyone ever cut templates out on a bass boay

Get a roll of the red rosin or brown craft paper, cut to fit, tape the pieces together, and lay it out on the carpet to transfer it.
