He's joking about the "swim" part. There have been people who drowned swimming out to retrieve a boat. Never swim out.........
I wasn't joking. I would prefer to use a paddle boat, though.

Even if I swam to the RC, I'd wear a PFD with a floaty for my beer.
I'm lazy like that.:D

Re: RC boats who has one ??

Thanks guys for the info , :)

What do you guys think about this one ??. http://cgi.ebay.com/40-RADIO-CONTRO...pt=Radio_Control_Vehicles&hash=item1c18265315

EDIT, Rocky you have a PM. :)

I think it would be a great model for a beginner. My first RC boat had twin 550 motors. It would top out at 15 MPH so I don't believe the 35 MPH as stated on the site you linked to.

All in all I would say go for it. It will whet your appetite for faster speeds. Nice looking boat.

Maybe a good beginner boat for a younger kid. I would think after 10 mins of running you would be bored. I really don't think it will scratch your current itch. El cheapo hardware. I don't know anything about the electric motors, but, I would be willing to bet those are on the cheap side too. I wish the Amazon link that someone posted had a price. That would tell you alot about the quality. I would look for something better. You should also figure out what you're willing to spend. That will dictate what to look for too........

Don't let some of these guys scare you away from nitro. Unless, you will be running in an area where noise is a concern. My family has been running nitro since the late '70s. We love 'em. And we're not constantly tweaking them either. Maybe the guys that run sanctioned races are, but, that's a different ball game. Then you will be tweaking the setup no matter what power plant you use to get a little better edge. Or, they don't perform any maintenance after a day of running. Then you can have issues. As far as maintenance, put after run oil in the carb, turn it over and wipe everything down. You're done.

Me and the kid have one each.
(Required skill level keeps a few out of the sport).

Cheers
