Ran boat after storage for 2 years. Fresh gas, cranked and ran good at all speeds for about 30 minutes. Started running rough at idle speed then shut off. Hard to crank, would barely run with warm up lever on high. Removed cover and noticed fuel leaking at fitting around filter and spraying out the back of filter. Know this is not normal. Is filter bad or is something else causing this?

you will have to determine that, are the hoses cracked, filter should be replace anyway. go here: http://forums.iboats.com/forumdisplay.php?f=31 read "awakening a sleeping outboard" and carb cleaning. be sure to replace the impeller before running that motor, very much.

fuel coming out a hole on the back side of the fuel pump means the diaphram is perforated. rebuild kit about $12 on iboats, can of gasket remover & some permatex #2, half an hour later she's good to go.
