No need to drain the float bowls (run dry) till your done for winter.
And even then I dont see why, if you use a stabilizer.
Do you run in salt or brackish water? if no then no real need to flush every time either unless you think you are getting sand or something in it.

Running the bowls dry it can cause scoring in the cylinders.It easier to fix a gummy carb than to hone a cylinder.
Use a stabilizer and an Ethanol stabilizer.
2-3 weeks is no time at all.Months is a different thing.J
