Yep. I just dealt with this a few weeks ago and posted on here about it. I used mancavemechanic.com for a rebuilt pump.

Ran my boat for 7 hours this weekend and ran flawless thanks to the new pump.

Don't forget to clean your fuel supply lines and I also sent my injectors off to be cleaned.

I did my own a few years back. I used paint remover on the inside of the cylinders to clean the paint out of mine. Been running strong ever since.

The picture you show of the fuel pressure regulator screen with all the paint on it is why I keep mine on and have never replaced it with the clip. When the pump whine gets louder, it's very easy to remove the regulator and check that screen. If it has a bit of paint scum, I then pull the high pressure pump to check its screen. Have had to clean them every year.
