Quick update, I had to step away last weekend for a few days, I wasn't having fun. But I have reset my brain and am back at it this weekend. If I get off my butt, the upholsterer should be able to finish next week. They did the side panels first, and are working on the front seats. I need to get the side panels installed and the back seat frames in so they can finish up. I got the panels in place and tabbed in enough tonight to keep them from moving around tomorrow. I need to grind the side of the hull and glass in the storage shelves tomorrow, as well as finishing the glass under the dash. To do that I think I will have to put in the back seat frames....do a bit more tabbing, take them out and finish up the glass...it never ends lol! It was nice to see the panels in tonight. I reshaped a piece of old trim to transition from the vinyl to the paint, it all turned out well. I am a little unhappy with the paint, I should have bought more, but I didn't and ran low on the final coat. So there is some orange peal, but such is life!

I love it Arch. It looks awesome. Nothing wrong with taking a break. It often stops you from saying, "that's good enough". Keep on trucking you are close to the finish line.

Arch, I think your work always looks great. And I think you have that same syndrome I have. And that is we are too critical of our own work. That is some times a good thing, but some times a bad thing as well. I know all about orange peel and how to get rid of it. But I will admit, I worry too much about things like that as well when most would never notice it otherwise. I do like how your boat project is turning out. :thumb:

Those interior panels look awesome! It is really looking Sharp as BaylinerChuck said.

Don't let yourself get too carried away. Stepping away when needed is a good thing. No need for it to become a second job šŸ˜ƒ

Thanks for all of your complements! its nice to see the interior come together! I agree sometimes you just need to walk away for a few days!

Today was one of those work for an hour then drive back to Ace to buy more hardware......frustrating, but necessary. I did get the hinges on the back seat bottoms. When I bought the stainless piano hinge, I didn't realize it wasn't predrilled, so I had some quality time with the drill press. Figuring out where hinges go is always fun, but I came up with a system that worked pretty good. I did also have to do a little more fitting on the piece between the seats. So I will need to get some epoxy on that before upholstery.

Overall I am pretty happy with the way the seats and side panels fit. The port side could be a little tighter, but I think I can work on that when I glass in the package trays. Right now it is ready for the back seats to come out again, the grinding and glassing in the package trays. I also pulled out the shoring up front, the glass tabs I put in last night are holding it up nicely. Now I can get the rest of it tabbed in. I have a party later tonight to attend, and its super hot out there so that is it for today.

No big updates, I got tied up last week getting my dock moved at the lake. 4 hour project took them two and a half days, they had hell, but got it done.

I had a chance to work on tabbing in the shelf pockets of the side panels tonight. Noting very exciting but I should be able to finish that up soon. I have to juggle in getting Miss Morgan ready for the lake, heading out there for some actual fun and R and R instead of working! I don't know what it is about this year, but the lake place has been needy....usually it low to no maintenance!

lol Mick, good eye. I had her outside under a Cottonwood for a few days.....they like to spit leaves off, sort of a giant weed. No worries she is tucked in the shop now! I need to do a little shop vacing!
