I agree with JB on those two questions. I oppose a war but oddly enough I hope the inspectors find a cache of banned weapons so the allied troops can remove that scumbag Hussein for good. He's a murderer and has to go, there's no question about that. I'm concerned what may happen if the U.S. goes ahead without this evidence or U.N. support. That's what Hussein's hoping for, that may unite the middle east and turn this thing into something it's not. Time'll tell.

One thing I'd like to mention is it is often portrayed that the majority of Iraq is for Hussein. I don't know the statistics, but there are plenty in Iraq that would favor a democracy or some sort of freedom. The Discovery channel did a long documentary on Hussein, his family, and his government. People who were picked off the street at random to be interviewed expressed complete support for Hussein. Keep in mind there was a government official with the reproter during interviews. When they were done for the day and the official left people approached the journalist telling him that American intervention would be very welcome. Any Iraqi who would publicly say this on television would be severely punished or killed. It is no understatement to say that Saddam is crazy and bent on world domination if given the chance. He has authorized unspeakable acts on people for the sole purpose protecting his political image. Iraq is a nation strangled by the grip of one individual. And keep in mind this is in no way imperialism. The United States is not out for land or expansion. If eliminating the threat of Saddam carries secondary benefits, then so be it. Saddam has a VERY large amount of chemical and biological weapons. I seriously doubt these are just going to sit and not be used with all of the time and money he has invested.

Speed, I saw part of that documentory about the<br />history of Sadaam's rise to power. he's MUCH worse<br />than I ever imagined. some of the people they<br />interviewed who were tortured or had knowledge of<br />people being tortured/murdered scared the cr@p<br />out of me. this guy has to go, the sooner the better!

After reading all this, I can tell who all the bed-wetting liberals on this board are. I think you know who you are too. It is a damn shame that there are people like that too.
