I`m lucky to have a pond at my doorstep full of pan sized speckled trout......I flyfish for them from my kayak and can easily catch a dozen in less than an hour !!!

Those are some nice lookin' Brookies me by!

That is one reason why I moved to Newfoundland from southern Ontario.....I live in a sportsmans paradise......we fish for trout, atlantic salmon, artic char, codfish, redfish,flounder , mackeral and it is no problem to catch them....you can still drink the water out of the lakes and streams here !!!
There is an overpopulation of moose and lots of caribou ,bear and rabbits....coyotes are numerous now as well!!!

I'd show you a picture of the big fish I caught yesterday except it was a bowfin, fought like crazy. wife nearly wiped out trying to net it. Gill hooked it, and got bit pretty good trying to retrieve the hook. Between the fish and I, we made the boat look like a chain saw murder scene. I'm just glad mywife and I survived the whole thing.

Got the boat cleaned up and the thumb is healing. Going to a different lake next time. That's 3 of those durn beasts in a week hunting for bass.

I always keep a lip grip (like a boga grip) on my boat for those toothy critters. It's especially useful when you catch a pike with a crankbait (double trebles). When that pike starts flailing around in the net I don't want my hands anywhere near it's teeth or especially the other treble (ouch!!)

Yes, very good eating......but....need to be preserved. I hope you caught them in the Ohio River during season.

Not a real "show off day" but a great day of fishing for me. I'll easily say I'm not a good bass fisherman, but today I grabbed 5, in a couple of hours at a lake where I'm normally lucky to get one. Here's a small guy. Fun day indeed.

Musky my buddy caught last week on a crankbait while bass fishing. Had a bigger one hit me right at the boat a couple days later, snapped my 12lb test like it was thread. Still waiting for my first.
