what state are you in ngt? those craws have lot of red in em. Our craws in the summer have more of a green pumpkin color and some orange in various places.

I'm in Northern California. Caught them at a small lake in Santa Rosa, about an hour north of San Fran. I ended up with 153 after 3 died and one was cut in half. Did the whole corn on the cob and potatoes thing. Had a good time.

Can't believe I got that many.

All these were catch and release except the pike.(he didn't make it and was eaten for supper.)

I caught this guy while Crappie fishing this morning. I fought him for about 10 min with an ultra light rod and 4 lb test line. I thought he was a Musky untill I got him next to the boat and saw all those teeth and long snout. I've caught a few Gar, but this one is the biggest, by far. BTW, I didn't let him in the boat. I just wiggled the line and his teeth cut it. I'll never understand why the line held while I fought him for 10 mins.

1st off im in colorado and the avg fish hear is like bait fish to most..

the MONSTER cat i caught out of lake of the ozarks, my cousen took the wind out of my sayles whene he told me that it was a small one for there,

My friend came over, he's 63, and he caught a couple of Atlantic salmon. This is a fly fishing only fishery. I don't fly fish, so I didn't catch any.

Yuk. If I ever caught one of those I'd cut my line Can you eat those?


Here's a Largemouth I got on Saturday. It was hanging under the boats on the docks. Weighed it at 2#'s on the boga's and let it go.

Yes, tiger fish make good eating though smaller ones are very boney. Best thing is their scales are so thick and hard they act like aluminium foil so you can just throw them on the bbq.

I'll bite.

A 30 inch Walleye is my nemesis. I've had 3 up to the boat but not held one yet, so these will have to do. All males from 19-22 inches, Maumee River, Ohio. Caught this spring during the annual walleye run.

24 inch LM caught locally in Iowa. Summer '08.

Big Spoon, Mississippi River, SE Iowa. Spring '09

Nice 'bow on spinning tackle. Bennet Springs. Summer '07.

Nice Flathead. Pool 4, Mississippi River. Summer '07.

Salmon. Lake Oahe, SD. Self-guided downrigger fishing! Smallest of the trip but the only surviving picture Grrrr. Summer '08

Here's one more. The only fish I really have worth showing this summer. 4lb. 8oz Smallie, Pool 8, Mississippi River. Unfortunately my partner and I were ill prepared so a crappy cell phone pic is the best I can do!
