Re: Post a pic of your starcraft!

I had one person ask if I felt right only paying $400 for it. I do.

Good for you, no guilt. If the buyer is happy and the seller is happy, the price was right. Very nice, you made a great deal there. I like the green too.

NB here, trying to post pictures of restoration of a 71 16' walkthru with a 60hp Johnson Electric Shift Original Tilt Trailer. Install an 88 merc. 9.9 for a kicker. make my own EM out of a 55 minkota (took a little modification to get it to fit on the merc.
Now if I can get the pictures on if not will try later in week when daughter comes over.

NB again HopeFloats, by the way name of boat is Hope "it" Floats I think I got the pictures if so you can see there's a few add on's to make ones fishing day a little more relaxing.

the one inside picture with rope on motor was when the steering eye broke on the main motor and came up with that setup to keep on fishing. I steered my partner work the gas.

Nothing points to this being North Beach. Some clarification is needed here.

Must be two NB's. Like when you were in school and there were always 2 kids in class with the same name.

Picked this up a few weeks ago, engine had water in the cylinders and decided to repower her with a 120 I found on CL. 1971 Islander hardtop, shorelander trailer, 2 cannon and 3 penn downriggers rods and reels. Pretty much ready for fishing as soon as engine situation is remedied and she's cleaned up

Re: Post a pic of your starcraft!

Yes, I spent a few years restoring it. I worked on it here and there every week because I lacked funds to complete it faster. As for the Honda I received a $1000+ for college graduation and put it down on the new BF60 so my monthly payments are real low.
I did all the work myself... upholstery, paint, wiring, rub rails, trailer, engine etc. It was a lot of fun! A big THANKS to the iboats Starcraft forum for getting me through this restore.
This Holiday was left in a Field uncovered for a very long time in Colorado. I basically only had a "very holey" aluminum hull and a completed rusted through trailer, EVERYTHING was replaced.
Thanks for your reply!

I applaud your work! How old are ya if you dont mind? seem young, which makes it all even cooler.

Re: Post a pic of your starcraft!

Hello, I'm new to iboats.com as of today and already love the site. Lots to read! This is the little gem I picked up last fall, 1979 Islander 22. I just finished a rebuild on a 1985 Sylvan 19' and can't wait to get started on the Starcraft. My housedragon says I have to wait until the fall to strat because she is having too much fun with it right now. :) http://

Re: Post a pic of your starcraft!

Thanks guys! Here is a few more of the inside after i put new carpet in it. it layed down better after a day at the lake from getting wet and shrinking a bit. i want to get back to back seats for it but this is what i came up with for now. Im only 22 and i love these old boats. it was my girlfriends grandpas and it sat for over 5 years and i got it out and fixed it up a bit. he gave it to me a year later. he is getting old at 89 and i just hope i can get it painted so he can see his old boat all fixed up. maybe take one last ride in it.

'78 Starcraft Mariner 21. Looked like this when I got it, set up as a CC. Guy I bought it from claimed the guy he bought it from had twin 70's, a plywood wheelhouse, and a tuna tower on it, and took it offshore regularly. I'd like to know how it was configured as new, I didn't see any Mariner brochures in the archive. Ugly, ain't she?

The pics below are from immediately after the restoration(2 years worth).

She shows 10 years of wear now, but still presents pretty well.
