1963 Starcraft Scout (I believe). Just picked it up a few days ago for $350 with the 1963 Moody trailer. Need to clean it up and get her running. Can't wait to hit the water with it.

Welcome aboard BR, nice old rig you've got there:)

Your boat is unique in a few ways, that splashwell trim is curved and I can't say I've seen that on a Starcraft before.

Also the windshield base is a bit different, really makes me wonder what year that rig is. It does look like an older Holiday model, maybe early sixties?

Nice to see it on the water:D

Welcome!
Sure looks like a Holiday..Id say it is.
Just think the windshield has been fabbed, every Holiday I have seen have the windshield directly to the topside

Possibly a replacement for a damaged plexi shield

Here is my 18? Star Trek. Picked it up as a bit of a basket case, but should make for a good project. This will be my first rebuild and don?t really know what I?m doing. But I?m learning in large part from the rebuild projects posted here at Iboats. I will take any advice you all want to offer.

Welcome aboard, nice boat kwh:)

I'd start by posting a new thread in the restoration forum to post all your photos and questions.

Looking at the photos I think you might need to move the winch stand forward a bit. The trailer looks a little small for that boat.

That is one of the best models Starcraft ever sold in my opinion. Wide open interior, plenty of freeboard and fishing room:D

Re: Post a pic of your starcraft!

Thank you Angler. I agree about it being a great boat. Hopefully, one day, this one will be again. I will start the thread as you recommended. About the trailer... it's rated for a 16 max, but I doubt it could do that very well. For what I paid I cant complain. The current trailer will be recycled and used for my 14' Arkansas traveler Jon boat. I will have the Star Trek riding in style long before it ever sees power again.

Picked this up early in the spring but I have not had much time to use it till this past weekend. Not a restoration but just a nice clean 93 22' Islander

Our 1976 25' Starcraft Flybridge Cruiser.

Would love to find more information on this model. We love this boat and I am in the process of replacing some of the stringers and rear floor area.

She has twin 140HP Mercruisers. Great boat to fish and hang out on.

The pic isn't working, that's a slight problem in a picture thread.:p

Re: Post a pic of your starcraft!

Hi Guys,

I'll start off with a couple pics of my little boat, without the beautiful blue topper I have for it. ;o)

I picked this up in ~98,

1980 17' Starcraft (Side Console), I don't know the model, it has an '87 Yamaha 40hp

When I first picked it up, added a horn, compass, 4 rod holders, GPS, Radio, Depthfinder, Bow Anchor Roller, Sunbrella Blue Canvas Canopy
(sorry, GPS and DF are in the house not in the pic)

The previous owner painted the interior a beautiful brown , I used it about 3-4 times a week for the first 4 years,
life happened and work got a little messy, so it went into the back of the yard about 5 years ago.

I'm going to be replacing the floor, etc, and repaint the interior the original white
(the brown turns it into quite an effective convection oven in the sun... melts the pounds right off.

If anyone can ID the model, I'd very much appreciate it,
I searched through all the posts in this thread and Googled about 40,000 pics,

(sorry for the small pic size)

Re: Post a pic of your starcraft!

Let's try this again.

I made a small photo bucket album.

Spent about 4 hours grinding pools of resin left over from a poor attempt by a previous owner to repair rotting bulkheads. About 4-6 more hours and she will be ready to have her new stringers and bulkheads installed.

Hopefully this will work!

That is very sharp boat. What are the specs, length, beam, power...? What model is it? You should start a resto thread. Good luck.

Re: Post a pic of your starcraft!

Thanks for the comments. Here is the ID sticker but I have never been able to get much information on the boat this was. I have seen one other for sale on E-bay in Ontario but it had a single V8.

I have been looking for more info. Length is 25' Beam is 8' 9" and she handles rough water really well. Power is TWIN 3.0L Mercruiser 140HP.

I am a little intimidated about creating the resto thread but maybe I will give it a try.
