The deck material was a goof job by Starcraft. I have a 22 Holiday with a 200 hp outboard very fast I will replace my deck piece with Nautlux Vinyl this summer if I don't sell it first. Mine is in pristene condition and im asking more than the Norhwest is willing to pay. Oh well You did a really nice job on the paint very professional looking.

Re: Post a pic of your starcraft!

It's been a great boat and it seems to be fairly unique and rare. I have often done Google searches on "Starcraft American"

Hello I-luv-my-johnson , the po of this '73 American 15 fell ill and i was the fortunate recipient . She came w/ a 40 johnny but i swapped it out w/ a 70hp . I've been looking for them as well and agree this must've been a rare breed . i read somewhere they did some changes on the interiors in the early '70s and can't find a bench seat like this anywhere . you have a nice rig there , chimewalker did two restores on Americans , the few the proud , the Americans . I really don't know. I thought it might be from salt water, but the boat was in Wisconsin and Minnesota all the time.

It is coming off and hasn't hurt anything important so I picked up another junk 55 Johnson for parts. Between the two I can make one good one.

I'm going to re Gel-Coat the bottom and repaint the top. This will be my first time Gel-Coating looks like it will be a hoot. I will post picks of how it turns out ( even if its bad ) as soon as the weather warms up.

Here's were I'm at as of now.DSCF4486.jpgCopy of DSCF4485.jpgDSCF4481.jpg

Re: Post a pic of your starcraft!

just picked up this 1964. Still not positive about which model it is. Debating the level of restoration. thinking gluvit, floor, seats, and paint and she'll be good as new. She's in really good shape, and i dont think a bottom up resto is really necessary. I think I'll keep her as original as possible. any suggestions? thanks!!!
