I just Bought this Boat last week. 1997 StarCraft Superfisherman 170. This thing came loaded, 90 hp Merc/Mariner outboard, 1998 Evinrude 8hp 4-Stroke Longshaft kicker, Min Kota Auto Pilot 55 lb 12volt Bowmount, 2 cannon Mini Mag Electric Downriggers, Bimini Top with Full Enclosure, 3 livewells. This boat is great.

just bought this 1976 starcraft 16ft. Im not sure what model it is. I dont know much about boats at all but plan to teach myself as i go.

Some new pics with led lighting and windshield replaced...1971 Starcraft 16ft SS....I have not used the LED night lighting on the water yet...don't know what the DNR will think of it...the LED lights are tucked under the gunnels...
I hope/think it will be alright

New windshield looks great. Didn't you have one of those crummy plexiglass ones before? Real nice improvement.

Thanks...yes I did have the older plexiglass windshield without the center swing door/windshield...I like this a lot better too

here's my '76 Holiday 16fter with a 55hp Yammie.
I purchased it in the spring after researching and using this site alot, to help me realize I wanted a Starcraft.
(Notice the winter tires on my car, this was the first nice day of the year. The TDI pulls this thing no problem.)

interior is kind of plain, but it works! nice big fuel tank under the bow, helps keep the nose down a bit...

First improvement/customization I made was to make a dash support (to upgrade the PT 2x4) with a radio and speakers, also cleaned up the electrical wiring throughout the boat. I hope to strip down and repaint the hull by next summer. I'm going to keep the yellowy-mustard colour and the swooshes, they are awesome.

PS - keep up with good quality resto threads as well as the tips/tricks etc. They are really appreciated and great to see. I wish I had a huge back yard for an Islander or Cheiftan project, but alas, i do not so I''ll stick with this beast for now.

Just like my 75 22 Hoilday. Nice the seats do not have the logo That was on the 75 unless they changed them/ they had a starcraft logo on the seat backs. Very nice boat I really like mine it has a 200 Johnson OB Nice and clean looks well cared for. ENJOY

Lets try this again, 1978 Supersport 22 V-5 unrestored, on a fishing trip to Sekui WA. 78 evinrude 235 still runs strong. Bought it in 1990. I was told it was from the St. Lawrence river area originally. I've never seen another one out west, does anybody know of any out here? Great boat, rated for ten people.
