no not like that. That falls in to the category of a "sporting car"

"A car may be a sporting automobile without being a sports car. Performance modifications of regular, production cars, such as sport compacts, sports sedans, muscle cars, hot hatches and the like, generally are not considered sports cars, yet share traits common to sports cars. They are sometimes called "sports cars" for marketing purposes for increased advertising and promotional purposes. Performance cars of all configurations are grouped as Sports and Grand tourer cars or, occasionally, as performance cars."

so sorry your Camaro while being sporty is NOT a SPORTS CAR, its a "Muscle car"

although thats even a stretch as most true muscle cars lived and died in the seventies

(my personal favourite being a 70 and a half, SD 455 trans am white with blue interior, now theres a Muscle car)

google sports cars, makes for good reading

Here's just a friendly FYI thing for some of you, if you want to get out on the interstate and run hard with a big truck, the driver will let you know if he wants you running with him or not.

Often times you may run across 3 or 4 trucks running together and decide to slip in and run with them. If those trucks try to pull away from you, or they suddenly slow down, then continue on your own path. It's a friendly way of saying, go on your merry way.

I'm not trying to sound like a jerk in any way, but many of us truck drivers that have done this long enough do not feel comfortable with a 4 wheeler running along with us.

We know how the drivers of the other trucks are going to drive for the most part.

A couple other things, do not assume that you can beat the truck down the on ramp when merging........600hp and 1900lbs of torque with 13 gears moves an empty truck pretty quickly.

Also, when I turn on my left turn signal to pass someone, it does not mean that you should speed up in the left lane to try and stop me........if you want to become a pancake, please do it in a private location that the taxpayers don't have to pay to clean up the mess.

I have driven trucks for 16 years and i think that there needs to be a raaise in the speed limit. if your car is designed for high speeds then so be it but the only thing about that is someone will think that it is ok to go 100+ in an escort. hammer down and stay in between the lines driver.

Six and stic, I agree with you guys however you are talking about drivers who are just stupid, anyone who drives the interstate should have my attitude(kinda arrogant I know) but here it is, I don't go to someones workplace and make myself at home, sit in the bosses chair use the facilities without asking etc. so why would I be a jerk in your workplace (the Interstate). Your doing your job and like I do when I enter anothers workplace I try to make it a pleasant experience, you guys put your blinker on not only to tell others your intentions but also as a way of asking for their help and I always try to accomadate you. I will even stop traffic if it makes your job easier say on the big passes here in Colorado and you have a good head of steam I will always block for you guys. But we all know your not talking about me were talking about the stupid drivers, ironic that we like to go fast and your doing your job and we have the same issue with the same drivers, its the fast lane also known as the passing lane, thats not always for the fast cars though, I truly believe that speed while being blamed for a majority of accidents in this nation is not entirely accurate but generalizing, it could be stated that yes a guy passed another inconsiderate driver on the right at high speed but was he at fault or the driver using the passing lane to cruise down the interstate while on the phone and then changes lanes to late and forces the other off the road? I bet you guys see that every couple hours don't you? I will tell you guys I drive faster then most do 5 to 10 over everywhere I go I also ride my motorcycles the same way and I believe thats why I have never been hit by a car, but I am not an inconsiderate driver.

+1 for this driver also. Big trucks are also designed different the they were, 40 years ago.

60 or 65MPH on smooth flat interstates, in a big truck, is just a waste of time and effort. If the newer, proposed HOS (hours of service) driving rules take effect, lowering the amount of avialable driving time, these ridiculous speed limits, only make things worse.
