I'll agree that the stuff is really wet as you purchase it. When I did the floor in my '75 Starcraft, I used 3/4" pressure-treated, but let the stuff dry for 2 months before I put it in the boat. I carpeted, without any additional protection, and it's holding up fine (it gets wet all the time with tubing and fishing, but it does get a chance to dry).<br /> Had I tried to install right from the lumber yard, the stuff probably would have shrunk as it dried, and I probably would have had trouble with the glue.
