Re: Pics of your classic Wellcraft
Wow!
Wow!
Just stumbled onto this forum & thread. Got my first boat this past summer. A 78 Nova 210. 5.7L Runs & drives great. Needs some interior work (all cosmetic), which I'm doing this winter. Just finished half the dash, working on rewiring a new switch panel now. She's covered up in the driveway for the winter, so I have plenty of time to work.
Nice! My 78 is an Xl, but otherwise a twin! I am very interested in your panel, I want to do something similar.
Cool, mine is an XL also. I'm still waiting for UPS to deliver my switch panels before I can finish rewiring the dash, but this is what it looked like when I bought it. Everything worked, it was just ugly
Trim controls/gauge are getting moved down next to the shifter (found a vintage original switch on ebay for 5 bucks). After the dash is done I'm going to tackle the engine cover, right now it's basically just a plywood box.
Got any pics of your interior? It would be cool to see her sister.
That is pretty much my dash! I want to put my chartplotter in dash and tidy up the switches. Here's an album of mine when I bought it,. I have tons more on my facebook too.

I wish.. Mine is raw water cooled. I'm sure that'll cause more work down the road (it lives in salt water, in season). But for now, there are no problems, so I can concentrate on making it look a little prettier. I'm trying to do what needs to be done mechanically, but I'm still trying to figure out exactly what I have. That looks great!
Is you're fresh water cooled?
