Re: Over the hill gang.

Boy this sure hits home. Derwood, I got my first gray hair at 17. I got my first wake up in the morning aches and pains at 30. I got 16 on the Cigar Man test. I never think about age. Yeah, my employees remind me and I never thought I would live until 35, but you are as young as you feel. I do have a question though.

Why did my nose hair start growing faster than the hair onmy head falls out?

Also have a tip. That draino slow drain stuff works great to get all the hair out of my drain and keep it flowing freely for the next batch.

Only complaint is the back, I was hoping to fish more as the years go by, but my back still has not recovered from the carp fishing 3 weeks ago.

Hey Derwood,
You are way too young to be worring about this stuff. I had a few aches and pains back when I was your age too. But you know what, I'm pushing 50 and still feel 25. I don't move quite as fast as I once did but I do alright. I even still turn a pretty young womans head every once and a while. As far as the sir stuff, well you'll just have to get used to that. At least someone is paying you respect. By the way my grand kids are the ones bouncing around to Brittney Spears. What I would give to be as young as you again, man It must be nice to be in the prime of your life cause that's where you are.
Now don't worry about how old you are because you are not old. Just enjoy the present and forget about the age thing.

:)

Well, some guys fall appart sooner than others, depending on how he and this world have treated the only chasis God endowed him with.
I know guys in thier 60's and one in his early 70's that could mop the floor with me (if only I had enough hair to make a good mop).
I don't resent that, nor do I obcess on how bad launching my bigger boat affects my back, the aches from other areas of my 50year old frame, keeping me from jumping after a rebound...
But I wear this wrinkled shell as a badge of honor.I've seen and done things that make for good stories on a moonlit fishin pier.
So when I'm called sir, I feel somewhat proud.
I also came to realization that life is way too short. So, look forward to old age. I am, big-time.
I Have 346days to retirement and counting. I'll be young for a retired guy, but too old for physical labor (thank ya, Jesus!).
I plan on using those years to the best advantage I can to those around me. After all, in the end, that's what this game is about.
And as long as us old guys like Derwood and crew keep that sence of humor, the world around him will be smiling.
Besides, long nose hair can be groomed into a great tactile sensor, like that of a cat..see my latest self potrait, below (Note full length beard and cane that doubles as a short-distance rock chunker, hammer, fish club and pry bar. Also note ear-to-ear S.E. Grin)
"U.S.A. Number One!!"

Re: Over the hill gang.

I'll bet JB scored a 100 on CigarMans Post. He probably could go back further than that like even before Motors were put on Boats. Thats probably why he has so much Knowledge because he was there in the Beginning of it all......{said with respect JB}........
