Outboard will only start when given 10%-30% throttle. Will not start when given full throttle or half throttle.

Why in the world would you want to start an Engine at or near WOT?, Next you will be asking why a lot of Outboards can't be started in Gear

I would imagine so. Fuel pump and reed valves are the only things I haven't touched yet.

Out of frustration. Hard starter.

If an engine is Flooded, then setting the Throttle to WOT and opening the Choke is a way to potentially clear the excess Fuel, but so does going for a 15 minute walk and contemplating the Horizon.

If you guess it is lean , then clean the carburetor or make the adjustments !!!

I've cleaned the carb 3 times.

Same carb works fine on another motor.

Every thing you did , and mention points to and indicates that something is wrong with the metal bits inside the motor.-----Up to you to open a tool box and figure it out !

I am stepping aside on this one.----I fear when 909 finds the issue we will see a post saying---" how come none of you experts knew that "

Exactly Racerone. "How come none of you experts know what's wrong with my motor."

Just kidding. I'll buy the winner a beer .

The truth is, some new user in the future is going to read through these posts and it will benefit them. If this problem ever gets solved.

ok so electrical all ok, compression ok carbs ok throttle plate ok link sync ok yet fuel does not reach it's destination to start the engine ...

any chance the crankcase case vacum needed to "pull in" the fuel is low compared to your "5 other working motors". It is a bit ackward to measure it but can you at least to a comparisson

you did not skip a tooth or two on the thotlle handle did you ? what is the mdl # ???

The throttle is cable driven. Crankcase leak is very possible. Thanks

The motor does what it's supposed to do and behaves.

A woman can too if she doesn't leave the kitchen.

Yes . Hard to diagnose. Still gave great compression.
