Surprisingly we're really into the Curling events this year - streaming on Peacock. Even wife, who's not into it, got really involved in the matches we were watching.

Kids are somewhat into Luge and waiting on Bobsled - one of my personal favorites. Women's moguls was ok. Also watched the snowboard events thus far.

Rest of it....ehh...take it or leave it. Really can't get into Figure Skating.

We got hooked on watching curling last olympics. We actually have a curling league 20 minutes from our house.

Kinda hard to watch winter games when it
is in the 80s all this week here in Los Angeles area

Always wanted to try it, but never have. They were trying to get a league going here in Nashville, but I think COVID slowed 'em down.

I used to curl a bit.-------It is a chess match on ice.------You get a warm feeling of scoring a few points.-----Then your opponent throws one 40 lb stone and they score 2 points.-----Frustrating !

I like the winter sports, but have watched less and less over the years. The puff pieces and messaging was shown more that the actual sports. Can't stand the Tara and Johnny segments of years past.
Tara and Johnny are on, time for bed .... lol

I spent a little time watching luge, woman's giant slalom and men's downhill replays on Peacock. Nice to watch the competition and not the fluff.

Last nights USA v Canada women's hockey game did not disappoint. USA controlled the action but Canada got the puck in the net for the 4-2 win. The officials let the girls play a little more than the other games ... there was definitely more hitting and a lot more speed and puck handling than in any other women's hockey games I watched this Olympics. Definitely the best 2 teams playing. Now that "eliminations" are over, it is time to go for the medals with Canada in the #1 spot and USA in the #2 spot.

As for bobsled ... next week ... Jamaica has a bobsled team! I might have to watch Cool Runnings again this week first ...

Some have issues with athletes competing for a country when they are a citizen of " convenience " for that country.-------I have no issues with the " Jamaican " bob sled team.------Remember " eddy the eagle " in 1988 ?-----Most folks remember that ski jumper.-----Nobody remember who won gold that year.

A "friend" of mine became a citizen of Israel so he could pay on last years Olympic baseball team. He can do that easily since his mom is Jewish. Before he did this, he had not stepped one foot inside Israel. Almost the entire team was US born. Ridiculous if you ask me.

Watching the Men's Super G, the close captions are so bad, they also were watching the woman's Super G and the Men's Luge.

The male announcer is Australian I think and who ever is typing has know idea what he is saying. Three times they typed super jeep for super g. The typist is so bad compared to what is said.

There is no typist these days.------Something called ----AI ( artificial intelligence ) ----is responsible for that spelling I think.

Jacobellis wins USA’s first gold by winning the Snowboardcross finals.
